Pride *Peacock*: Sinead
Aidan's grandmother was a stern huntress and horse trainer. Her strong will and keen wit was what caught the attention of Morgan, though Sinead thought he was a foolish warrior. But regardless of the countless nags and taunts, deep down Sinead knew she loved him. Before long they had two sons together. While her husband would be called to arms for the king, she'd stay home to train and mother her sons. In the beginning she had to save Logan and Kade from wild boars, but over time the two finally began working as a team. Sinead adored Logan for his obedience and skills in archery, but found herself acting stricter with her younger son Kade, for she didn't appreciate his headstrong behavior and his habit to constantly question everything she does as head of their house. Despite Kade's determination to become a soldier like his father and brother, Sinead knew deep down that he wasn't made for the job, though it didn't stop him from trying. She'd always catch him trying to prove his bravery and worth by taking on wild animals or other people only to freeze out of fear in the process, which left Sinead always feeling disappointed in her son.

It was to her utter shock that she found out he had fallen in love with a pagan girl when he got older. She knew all too well what grotesque and perverted things they practiced and there was no way she was going to allow her bloodline be tainted by such people. Ever since her mother was brutally raped and killed by a pagan cult, she always despised them all. She begged and argued with her son to come to his senses and find someone else to marry, but Kade wouldn't have it and the tension only drove him closer to Enya and her family. A while later she found out Kade and Enya were expecting their first child. Sinead nearly had a stroke when Morgan welcomed them into their home with open arms. She then tried to swallow her anger and hatred towards Enya and her side of the family but the negative energy always managed to seep through into her glares or tone of voice.
While her husband and sons were sent off to deal with the twin scourges, Sinead worked as a midwife to help bring her first grandchild into the world. But to her horror she lost Ally to complications in the birth. Even though it wasn't her fault that the pregnancy killed Ally and left Caoithe motherless, she felt deep down that it was; the pain only grew deeper when Kalya successfully helped bring her second grandchild into the world. How was it that a pagan wise woman could pull off a problem in Aidan's birth when she herself couldn't stop the bleeding for Ally and save her. Sinead's stomach strained whenever she caught Enya nursing and mothering Caoithe along side her son, Aidan. She didn't care what Ally had said to her, she was not going to have her granddaughter be tainted like her grandson. But just when things couldn't possibly get worse, Kade burst through the door with his clothes soaked in blood. He bore the dreadful news of Morgan and Logan's death. Sinead had lost it, she had lost two of the most important people in her life and was now stuck with her poor excuse of a son. She growled at him though her tears and called out that it should have been he who should have died instead of Logan and Morgan. She knew all too well her words were cold and cruel, but Sinead felt so broken she didn't feel compelled to apologize.
Not too long after Kade and Enya started fighting. Sinead had gotten word that she and her son were going back to live with her pagan relatives, much to her delight. But then she found out that Enya was wanting to take Caoithe too. Sinead had finally had enough and forbid her from taking her grandchild, after all she wasn't going to have the last important person in her life get swept away to be raised with pagans. As much as it pained Enya to leave her behind, she and Aidan left the following morning. But soon Caoithe started crying out to be fed. Sinead desperately looked elsewhere for a wet-nurse to feed her grandchild, but there was no one else… but Enya. Finally she stubbornly strode to their hut and handed Caoithe back to Enya, but demanded that she was only to be fed and then given back to her. A few years passed, and Caoithe was now in the hands of her grandmother, but not too long after Enya had returned with Aidan to their home in hopes of Kade reconsidering and finally fathering his child.
Sinead originally didn't pay mind to Aidan, until she gazed into his eyes and found them to be the same vivid violet eyes like his mother. That same eyes she heard Kade mention over and over again until he grew mad. It didn't help the fact that Aidan was also left handed, a sign of a bad omen. The devil's hand. She then spread gossip about them to everyone else in the village in hopes of driving them out. Sinead went as far as trying to poison Caoithe's mind, only to have little effect in her depressed state.
Suddenly the twin scourges appeared and attacked the village, drawing the men out to fight while the scourges men sealed the doors to every home, trapping everyone else inside before setting the roofs on fire. Sinead, Enya, Aidan, and Caoithe desperately rammed against the sealed door in hopes of escaping the blaze. But a smoldering pillar had fallen on Enya's arms and pinned her to the floor. Aidan leapt in and tried to push it off his mother, but he wasn't strong enough. Caoithe soon helped him, but she wasn't strong enough either and was eventually pulled back by Sinead. Finally Kade bust through the door and was on the scene he saved his family and freed Enya from the burning pillar. The horses in the stable were screaming out cries of fear and pain. Sinead instinctively broke the lock on the stables gate and turned them loose. Blackheart and the other stallions and mares ran out screeching panic. Sinead was about to go after then to calm them down, when suddenly she heard a stallion crying out in agony from inside the stable. Sinead reacted far too late as a huge Clydesdale with it's mane and tail burning with flames crashed through the stable gate and trampled her to death.
